NETHERLANDS - Responding to the growing demands of sustainably produced and fairly traded products in the Netherlands and to be able to present innovative business solutions, the European Ethical and Fair Trade Market Place (ETFAM) will hold its first marketplace on 17-20 September in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
ETFAM is a service oriented organization offering broad-based expertise in developing sustainable business relationships, a virtual portal for small producers and traders for an easy access to difficult to enter markets, match making services for Fair Trade and ethical Organizations to expand their market share and customer base, among other things.
This is not going to be an ordinary gathering of producers from poor countries and potential buyers from developed countries. ETFAM offers innovative approach to link producers and buyers through their matching system. It helps buyers choose producers and vice versa to create long term and sustainable trading partnership. Eleven designs from Dutch Design for Development (DDiD) will be presented in the marketplace. DDiD is a matchmaking organization that connects Dutch designers with product makers in developing countries.
Close to half of the participants are members of the World Fair Trade Organizations (WFTO). The Dutch Association of World Shops (DAWS) will officially represent WFTO.
Everyone is invited to the marketplace. You will get to meet Fair Trade producers and exciting products await you there!
