The GeoFairTrade project will make its presence at the FA!R2012 in Dortmund, Germany, which will take place from 7 to 9 September. The event is dubbed the trade fair for Fair Trade, and is one of the largest gatherings of Fair Trade producers, marketing organizations, retailers and consumers in Europe. WFTO will bring the project there by showing the promotional video of the project.
The GeoFairTrade video
In an effort to capture the GeoFairTrade Project, geotraceability for Fair Trade, a promotional video has been released, and can be found on GeoFairTrade’s homepage, see here http://www.geofairtrade.eu/. The video is and educational material about geotraceability for Fair Trade and the aims of the project, which is to connect to all points in the Fair Trade supply chain and help foster connections between consumers and producers.
This video acts as a crucial visual tool for all of those interested in geotraceability for Fair Trade. The concept can be complicated, and because the idea is still in its infancy, visual aids like this video are very useful in helping connect interested parties to the organization and goals of the project. From producer to consumer, the video walks the viewer through the Fair Trade supply chain, and production of products, marketing of products, and delivery of products to consumer. The gap between transparency and the connection among producers and consumers is highlighted, and the steps to close this divide are outlined via the geotraceability project.
Check out the new video at GeoFairTrade’s homepage, and learn more about the lifecycle of the project and how you as an informed consumer can use this new tool to become more enlightened and aware of the subject.
