Other campaigns and groups compaigning on trade justice issues

  • World Fair Trade Day
    World Fair Trade Day is an annual event to celebrate Fair Trade. It takes place on the second Saturday of every May.

  • Make Trade Fair
    Oxfam International's global campaign to 'Make Trade Fair' is calling on governments, institutions, and multinational companies to change the rules so that trade can become part of the solution to poverty, not part of the problem.

  • Trade Justice Movement
    Campaigns for fundamental change to the unjust rules and institutions governing international trade, so that trade is made to work for all. It is a fast expanding group of organizations.

  • Christian Aid
    An agency of the churches in the UK and Ireland, Christian Aid works wherever the need is greatest, irrespective of religion. It supports local organizations, which are best placed to understand local needs, as well as giving help on the ground through 16 overseas offices.

    Christian Aid believes in strengthening people to find their own solutions to the problems they face. It strives for a new world transformed by an end to poverty and campaigns to change the rules that keep people poor.

  • Third World Network (TWN)
    The Third World Network is an independent non-profit international network of organizations and individuals involved in issues relating to development, the Third World and North-South issues.

  • Co-op America
    Co-op America is an organisation that gives consumers practical advice on how to use their consumer and investor power for social change. They support Fair Trade and have their own Fair Trade programme.

  • Social Accountability International (SAI)
    Works to improve workplaces and combat sweatshops through the expansion and further development of the international workplace standard, SA8000, and the associated S8000 verification system.

  • The International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling (ISEAL) Alliance
    The ISEAL Alliance is a formal collaboration of leading international standard setting and conformity assessment organizations focussed on social and environmental issues. It has a membership made up of organizations with international programs in standard-setting or accreditation and include the Fairtrade Labelling Organization and the Forestry Stewardship Council.

  • AccountAbility
    AccountAbility is an international, not-for-profit, professional institute dedicated to the promotion of social, ethical and overall organisational accountability, a precondition for achieving sustainable development.
